corker magazine

About this site

Corker magazine is a quarterly print and digital pop-culture magazine made in Australia.

You'll love Corker if:
* You take pride in making sure your friends never forget that you liked Gotye before Ashton Kutcher "discovered" him.
*You're not offended by the occasional fuck, shit and c%&t.
*You like good writing, original photography, and crazy sex (not necessarily all at once or in that order).

If that sounds like you, hang around. Check out what's inspiring us on this here blog, and if you like paper, buy a print issue of Corker magazine, if you like trees, buy the iPad version.

The new issue is out on December 1, 2011.

For several generations, the children of Afghanistan have known nothing but war and loss. Out of this situation of abandonment and hopelessness in the capital of Kabul comes Kabul Kids. The exhibition features a collection of stirring images by six young orphaned photographers. The project, initiated by Sydney-based freelance photographer Palwesha Yusaf, aims to shed light on the perspectives of children in war-torn states while providing them with a creative outlet.

Catch Kabul Kids in Sydney this month at the China Heights Gallery in Surry Hills (November 18-20) and the Information Cultural Exchange in Parramatta (November 25 to December 1). Visit www.artwhatson.com.au/kabulkids
